In October 2014 Millie Hardy Sims brought a young group of fledgling players to the Theatre Royal and presented “The Lost Boy”, which she had adapted from a play detailing the life of J.M Barrie as he wrote “Peter Pan”…… and this was the start of The Second Star Youth Theatre . The play was designed as a week long project for young people during half term. Millie took on the mammoth task of intensive rehearsals with 11 young people over 4 days with a presentation to the public on the evening of the fourth day with a truly delightful result. These projects are now part of the Playgoers season and their public performances are designed to be affordable for families.
Adults £5.00 and Children £4

Playgoers Second Star theatre is designed for young people from 10-18 to learn the discipline of all the elements required in the art of stage craft, to work as a team, character development and to make friends along the way.

Millie says….. that the unique selling point is that  everyone who joins and auditions for one of the shows will get a speaking part regardless of previous experience.

We have always got space for budding young actors so why not come along to the next session on Saturday morning at 10.00 am until 12.00  or find out more by ringing Pat Brinicombe 01900 812318
