Have you ever noticed the beautiful 'TR' symbol on the proscenium arch at our theatre? Here it is, in all its glory. Not many people know that the Theatre Royal dates back to 1866. Originally known as The Lyceum, it was built by George John Smith, a Londoner who came to Cumbria. CALLING ALL ACTORS AND THEATRE ENTHUSIASTS!!
We are running a read through of Agatha Christie's The Stranger on 15 July, 7.30pm at the Theatre Royal, Workington.
Come along and get involved. The play will run 7-10 October 2025.
It's low pressure and if you would rather paint some scenery, help with lighting, sound, costumes, props, or prompting, then please come along too.
