THE MIRROR CRACK’D
By Agatha Christie, Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff

The Mirror Crack’d by Agatha Christie is a Miss Marple mystery centred around a shocking murder in the seemingly peaceful village of St Mary Mead. When famous Hollywood actress Marina Gregg moves into Gossington Hall and hosts a charity fête, a local woman named Heather Badcock is suddenly poisoned after drinking a cocktail meant for the star.

As Miss Marple investigates, she uncovers a web of secrets beneath the glamour and village gossip. The key to the crime lies in a fleeting expression on Marina Gregg’s face—“as if she had seen something terrible”—captured in a photograph and remembered by witnesses.

Piece by piece, Miss Marple reveals a tragic past hidden behind the actress’s perfect image and exposes a motive born from guilt, grief, and obsession. The mystery explores the fragility of identity, the dangers of fame, and the shattering impact of a single moment—just like a mirror cracking.
