Born in the Swinging Sixties in sunny, cosmopolitan Carlisle, Allison Rowe first fell in love with acting when she landed the coveted role of Lead Shepherd in her first Nativity play. The bright lights of London beckoned but after 13 years as a jobbing actress she tired of the ‘Big Smoke’ and returned North. Allison is a founding member of The Happy Hour Theatre Company.
Jenny has loved acting since she was a child and performed in school plays and family ‘entertainments’. She grew up in Wiltshire, moved to Scotland in 1974 and has performed with various amateur companies since then. Among her favourite roles are Shirley in ‘Shirley Valentine’ (which she took to the Edinburgh Fringe in 1998), Beverley in ‘Abigail’s Party’, Angela in ‘My Brilliant Divorce’ and Gail in ‘Teechers’. Now retired, she achieved her ambition to become a professional actress and a member of Equity in 2012. She is delighted to be a part of Happy Hour and enjoys playing new, quirky characters each year.
