George Bailey never got a chance to fulfil his life’s ambition to explore the world. As he watches his friends and family become success stories, he dreads having to run his father’s loan business, struggling to compete with the dastardly banker Mr Potter. When a financial discrepancy puts George in a difficult position, an angel comes to show him what life would have been like if he had never been born. In the end, George realises he truly does have a Wonderful Life.
The original It’s a Wonderful Life is one of the world’s best-loved Christmas films, and the story still has much to teach us about the potential impact of a single human life. This production, showcasing talented young Cumbrian actors aged 10 to 18, will be the perfect pre-Christmas outing for the whole family.
